Charles "Phil" Terrier

Charles Philip (Phil) Terrier, 75, of Maryville went to be with his Savior on Saturday, March 2, 2019. He was born in Mobile, Alabama in January 1944, and later graduated from the University of Alabama in 1967 before spending his working career at ALCOA. A member of First Baptist Alcoa, he faithfully served the Lord there for over 50 years. Phil was preceded in death by parents James Philip and Nettie Terrier and sister Phyllis. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Nancy Myers Terrier, sons Philip and Matt (wife Jessica), sister Kay Quinley, and family members Brenda and Bobby Dockery, Peggy Myers, Kim and Norm Weigand, and many much-loved nieces and nephews. Phil also leaves many dear friends and a loving church family. Family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday, March 5th at First Baptist Alcoa. A memorial service will immediately follow with Pastor Matt Doane officiating and Steve Fugate delivering the eulogy. Graveside service and Interment will be at 3pm on Wednesday March 6th at Grandview Cemetery. The body will lie in state on Tuesday March 5th from the hours of noon until 5pm and again on Wednesday from 8am until 2pm at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service.
