Charles Robert Sherlin

Charles Robert "Bob" Sherlin of Louisville passed away Monday December 30, 2013 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. Bob was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church and retired from Oak Ridge after 43 years of service as a plant and equipment division associate administrator. Bob was very active in the Blount County community where he coached Little League for over 25 years, served as a board member of the United Way, was inducted into the Blount County Sports Hall of Fame in 2000 and was an avid golfer. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Sherlin; Mother, Hattie Mae Mayfield. Survivors include: Wife, Mary Sue Sherlin; Daughter & Boyfriend, Sandy Sherlin & Bruce Richesin. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Jim Wells and Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 3, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
