Charles Robert Purkey age 53 of Maryville, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by: Mother, Mary Lou Everett Purkey; Step-daughter, Penny Sue Potter; Brother-in-law, Joe Mack Burris Jr. Survivors include: Wife, Nellie Ann Purkey; Step-Son, Paul Ray Carver; Step-Grandchildren, Amy Potter, Noah Potter, and Allen Potter; Father & Step-Mother, Claude Lee & Bettie Purkey; Brother, Faron Lee Purkey & wife Roxanne; Sister, Nicole Brickhouse & husband Bud; Step-Brothers, Ronnie McKeehan and William Lee; Nieces & Nephews, Shanna Purkey, Keria Tipton, Daniel Burris, and Darren Beaty; several aunts, uncles, great-nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
