Charles James Mantione

Charles "Chuck" Mantione, 90, of many ports of call. Born to immigrant parents, grew up in Buffalo, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife Artis, daughter Catherine, son Robert, and grandson, Noah. He worked for the U.S. State Department traveling the world to help people in underdeveloped countries providing health care reform and education. He was a consultant for many years in Vietnam and his wife Artis accompanied him to Pakistan, Kenya, Liberia, Egypt and Peru. He had an illustrious career, commissioned by President Ronald Reagan. He is survived by his children, Joseph (late Katherine), Jodie (Joe) Koehn and Charles, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Donna (late Robert). Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM, Friday, March 8, 2024 at Smith East Hall. Graveside service and interment will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2024 at Grandview Cemetery.
