Charles Eugene Greene

Charlie Greene age 81 of New Market passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a wonderful father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed. He was a member and deacon of Worldwide Church of God and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea and Greenland. Preceded in death by: Wife of 59 years, Cora Evelyn Greene; Parents, W.M. & Eliza Greene; Brothers and Sisters, Pat Green, Claude Greene, Dillard Greene, Mary Etta Greene, Vivian Greene, Lavada Greene, Analee Greene, and Charles Eugene Greene. Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-law, Yvonne & Jon Gombert of Friendsville; Daughter, Tonya Hollins of Maryville; Grandchildren, Holley M. Sharp of Alcoa, Joey & Brandie Garland of Murfreesboro, and Dane & Shannon Garland of Atlanta; Great-Grandchildren, AJ Garland, Jordan Garland, Abby Garland, Christian Garland, Noah Garland, and Nikolas Garland; many nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. Funeral service will be at 6:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Ed Corbitt officiating. Private interment will be at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
