Charles C. Goodson

Goodson, Sr., Charles Crowder "Buck" age 78 of Maryville, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 3, 2008. He was a loving husband, father and special friend to all who knew him. He was an active member of Edgewood Primitive Baptist Church and a retiree of Alcoa Aluminum Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar & Betty Goodson; daughter, Judy King; granddaughter, Jennifer Ward; sisters, Susie Long & Georgie Collins; son-in-law, Robert (Bob) Roulette. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Ida Faye Goodson; daughters (Charlie's Angels), Shirley Roulette, Mary Ward & husband, John, Wanda Walker & husband, Paul, Sandy Shipwash & husband, Don; Son (Charlie's Hero), Charles Crowder Goodson Jr., special daughter-in-law, Amy; grandchildren, John & Jason Ward, Rob Roulette, Randy Walker, Misty Cope, Kelly Ridinger, Tonya McDonald, Tiffany Carringer, Timothy "Bubba" Frye, Zach & Whitney Goodson; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph, James, Sam, Don & Oscar; Sisters, Roxie Alexander & Carrie Lou Jett; a host of church family & friends; special friend, Minnie Moore. Charles will be sadly missed and loved by all. A special thanks to Blount Memorial Hospital & Hospice Palliative Care. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008, Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Crisp, Rev. Tommy Boring & Rev. Arnold Whitehead officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Laurel Bank Baptist Church Cemetery.
