Charles Elwood Drum

Charles Elwood Drum, age 86 of Maryville, TN, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Asbury Place in Maryville. Charles graduated with a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He worked as a chemical engineer at PPG Industries until his retirement. He served as an elder in Sardis, OH, North Canton, OH, Monroeville, PA, and Maryville, TN. Charles also served many years on the Board of Trustees at Ohio Valley University in Vienna, WV. Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Annie Laurie Drum; sister, Louise Reither; brother, James Drum. Survived by wife, Lana Drum; son, Mark Drum of Atlanta; sisters, Alice Swindol of Ohio, Mary Wiggins of Ohio. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chris Kawa of River Oaks Community Church officiating. The Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
