Charles A. Brenner, Jr. of Friendsville, TN passed away peacefully April 16, 2022. Charlie was born March 2, 1933 to Charles and Viola (Weaver) Brenner in Washington D.C. He attended the University of Maryland and was drafted in 1953 while in college. He joined the Navy. Charlie was proud of his Navy military service during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Patricia Lee Perry Brenner. They had 3 children, Virginia Brenner Pfleger (Fred) of Bonita Springs, FL, Charles Brenner III (Christina) of Friendsville, TN, and Carolyn Brenner Perlman (Barry) of Burlington, NJ. They also have 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Through his career Charlie and Pat lived in the Washington D.C. area, Texas, and New Jersey. They retired in 1988 to Lake Gaston, North Carolina where they lived over 30 years. Most recently Charlie moved to Friendsville, TN in 2020 after Pat passed away. He made many friends at Brookdale at Sandy Springs in Maryville.
