Charlene D. Wyatt age 87 of Alcoa, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Asbury Healthcare Center. She was born July 12, 1922 in Donaldson, Arkansas. Preceded in death by: Parents, Suzie & Lummie Quick. She attended Little Rock High School and Wichita Baptist �" Arkadelphia where she was a “Runner up�? of the Most Beautiful Girl on Campus for two consecutive years. Charlene was a stewardess for American Airlines for 3 years and graduated from the University of Tennessee. She touched the lives of hundred of children during her 33 years at Alcoa Elementary. She was a respected and loved teacher with the City of Alcoa School System from 1954 until her retirement in 1987. She married Charles Wyatt in 1989 and enjoyed traveling and cruises with Charles and with her fiends. Most of all she enjoyed being at home with her beloved husband. Charlene leaves behind: her loving and faithful husband (her Charlie); Brother, Dr. Randolph Quick and wife Jane; two nieces, Connie Jane Quick, Carol Quick Lane & husband Dr. Charles Lane; great niece and husband, Catie & Ryan Curtis; great nephew, Charley Quick Lane; 1 grandson, Kyle Wyatt Horton, his parents, Darin & Dinetiza Horton; last but not least step-son, Eric V. Wyatt. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the graveside service and interment with Rev. Eugene Gann officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, October 9, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
