Charlene Shuler Walker

Charlene Shuler Walker, age 82, of Maryville, TN passed away peacefully at Blount Memorial Hospital on October 3, 2022, surrounded by family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Carl Shuler and Lona Mae Williams Shuler of Citico Creek and brothers, Bill (Sarah) and Carl Shuler.  She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert Wayne Walker, four sons, Clifford Walker (Lisa), Ricky Walker (Bonnie), Randall “Randy” Walker, and Christopher “Scott” Walker; and special friend, Keith Christopher (Wanda).  She is also survived by six grandchildren, Thomas Walker, Cari Walker Stanley (Milton), Christopher Walker (Angie), Jessica Walker, Dustin Emert (Ciara) and Jake Walker; special grandchild, Bailey Lohr; and seven great grandchildren.  Charlene was an extremely kind, spirited and loving individual who enjoyed reading, travel, and cooking.  Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her loved ones and preparing large meals for her family and friends.  She was an outstanding homemaker while also working as the accountant and bookkeeper for the family business, Walker Electric, for 45 years.  A special thanks is given to Charlene’s dear friend of over thirty years, Bertha Ogle, for her love and support.  Additionally, the family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Blount Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care.  Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville, TN on Friday, October 7, 2022 between 12:00 and 2:00pm. Charlene will be laid to rest at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa, TN.
