Celia Wade

Celia Wade, age 73 of Alcoa, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the home surrounded by her family.  Celia was a dedicated member of Alcoa 1^st Baptist Church for 50+ years and was retired from working for Dr. Patrick Burkhart for over 30 years. She loved making a home for her family and spending time with her grandchildren who were the apples of her eye. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mimi, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew her. She became an avid U.T. fan and relished her trips with Johnny and Judy Shore. Preceded in death by her parents, Tom Alsobrook and Jean Medford; step-father, Jim Medford; nephew, Jason Godsey; and brother-in-law, Raymond Wade.  She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Curtis Wade; daughter, April Wade; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Amy Wade; grandchildren, Caden Garner, Abby Brown, and Maddox Wade;  sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Steve Tipton; brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Theresa Alsobrook; step-mother, Sue Alsobrook; sister-in-law, Bette Wade; special friends, Rhonda Rogers and Sue Marsdon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family also survive.  The family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the Smith West Chapel with a Celebration of Celia’s life to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Greg Long and Rev. Chandler Warren officiating.
