Catherine Roberta ("Nanna") LaJuett went home to the Lord, July 28th. She was a resident at Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation-Fairpark for over five years due to Alzheimer's disease. For nearly 20 years the disease destroyed her memories, her freedom, quality of life and ultimately her life. She was a member of Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church for years until she was disabled by the disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy LaJuett, Sr., of nearly 45 years. A devoted wife and helpmate, she raised five children and dedicated her life to her family. Survived by her daughters Sheri LaJuett and Lori LaJuett Daniels; her sons Buddy, Jr. and wife Alice; Jeffery and wife Anita, and Joseph. She was the proud Nanna of 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Smith East Hall with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Clifton Hearon of Maple Grove Baptist Church officiating. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel.
