Carson “Rock” Norton age 87, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at home. He was a soldier in the US Army. He attended Maple Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Infant Son, Steven; Mother, Lessie Crawford; Brothers, Spurgeon & Carl Norton; Brothers-in-law, Jim Hodge, Paul Norman, and George Muse. Survivors include: Wife of 64 years, Helen Norton; Sons, Jeff, Lynn & Sharon, Terry & wife Debra, Mike & wife Kathy; Daughter, Wendy and husband Mike; Grandkids, Robby, Doug, Allison, Michael & wife Sandy, Chris & wife Natasha, Renea & husband Harvey, Drew & wife Kayla, Blake & wife Taylor, and Cory; several great-grandkids; Sisters, Shelia Hodge, Lorena Norman, Hope Muse; Special Cousin, Worley Norton; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Rev. Clifton Hearon and Drew Anderson officiating.
