Carroll Smiley

Carroll Smiley age 66 of Walland, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the family home. He was a member of Full Gospel Church and enjoyed playing guitar and harmonica. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Minnie Smiley and brother, Bobby Douglas Smiley. Survivors include his wife, Linda Smiley; sons & daughters-in-law, John & Leah Smiley of Walland, Matthew & Stephanie Smiley of Townsend, sons, Michael Smiley and Luke Simley both of Walland; daughters & sons-in-law, Jennifer & Greg Hatcher and Miriam & Jeremy Napier all of Townsend; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Richard Smiley of NC, James Smiley of Townsend, Don Smiley of NC; sisters, Molly Buckland of Mt Carmel, Jeannette Reese of LA; special friends, Poke & Marygale Byers, Stirling Post and Patrick Davis. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service 7:00 pm with Rev. Chris Buckland officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made by made to the funeral home.
