Carolyn Copeland Lang, age 85 of Maryville, transitioned from this life to her new heavenly life surrounded by her family Sunday, October 27, 2024 in Murfreesboro, TN. Carolyn was a devoted member of Grandview Baptist Church for 55 years serving as a choir member and the church librarian. She was known for her generous and giving spirit. Carolyn deeply loved her family and doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly enjoyed the Great Smoky Mountains, especially going to Cades Cove. She enjoyed sewing and cross-stitching. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Gray Lang; parents, Jewell B. and Nellie Gertrude Teffeteller Copeland; 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Kim Lang of Murfreesboro, TN, Todd and Tracy Lang of Maryville, TN, and Chris Lang of Destin, FL; grandchildren and their spouses, Morgan and Nate Tilton of Murfreesboro, TN, Julianne and Marcus Leuluai of Murfreesboro, TN, Haley and Nick Bender of Orlando, FL, and Kyler Lang of Orlando, FL; great grandchildren, Isaac and Corrie Lou Tilton, Nora and Elisapeta Leuluai, and Oli Grey Bender; many nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the Smith Trinity Chapel. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Chris Pass officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service and burial.
