Carol Ann Peters

Carol Frye Richards Peters, 75 years old, of Knoxville, TN, passed away February 12, 2009. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother to her family. Carol always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She was an active member of Bearden United Methodist Church. While living in Maryville, she was active with Fairview School and William Blount High School, serving as President of the PTA at Fairview, working with the health clinic and serving as a Homeroom Mother. She taught Red Cross Volunteer clinic classes for numerous schools and was a volunteer for the William Blount High School Band. She was preceded in death by: Her husbands, Edmund C. (Bud) Richards of Leesburg, FL, and Fred L. Peters of Maryville; Parents, Irving T. & Maude Frye of Clermont, FL; Brother, Rex Frye & wife, Dee of Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by her children, Edmund C. Richards & wife, Jenny of Riverside, CA, Debbie Richards Christison of Knoxville, Steve Richards & wife Sandy of Knoxville, and Linda Peters of Knoxville; Grandchildren, Leslie Hill & husband Steve, Marcus Robertson & wife Cortney, Chad Richards, Hallie Richards, Matt Christison, and Caron Christison; Great-Grandchildren, Alex & Cassidy Hill, Daniel and Nicholas Robertson; Brother & Sister-in-law, Bob & Lois Frye of Melbourne, FL; several loving nephews and nieces, best friends Joan Pendley & Linda Ogle; special friend Ed; and her beloved English Bulldog Lola. Her spirit will continue to be a source of strength to all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Carol's life will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Bearden United Methodist Church, 4407 Sutherland Ave., Knoxville, TN. Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, Sunday at the church. Graveside service will be at Grandview Cemetery on Tuesday, February 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM.
