LaRue, Carol J., age 64 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 at her home. Carol was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville, Active Trustee at Kings Academy, Past District Governor of Rotary District 6780, Distinguished Toastmaster Past Area Governor, Leadership Blount Class of 1997, and Habitat for Humanity. She was preceded in death by her father, William B. 'Dub' Johnson, and niece, M. Allison Markham. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Jennifer LaRue of Maryville; grandchildren Caleb and Kimber LaRue of Maryville; mother, Willie L. Johnson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debra and Leonard Markham of Fairfield Glade and Brenda and Dan Sexton of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Gina Johnson of Chattanooga; niece, Jara Johnson; nephews, Larry and wife Mindy Markham, Nathan and wife Leah Markham, and Tony and wife Jodi Markham; several great nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncle. A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2010 in Smiths Trinity Chapel, with Dr. John Sharp, Dr. Leonard Markham, and Rev. Brad Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rotary Foundation,14280 Collections Center Dr., Chicago, IL 60693.
