Carmalee S. Easter

Carmalee Snelson Easter, age 89 of Alcoa went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, September 13, 2014. She was a selfless, kind and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was happiest when doing for others and loved to crochet, sew and cook. Mrs. Easter graduated from Alcoa High School as salutatorian and was employed at ALCOA during WWII. Mrs Easter was a member of First Baptist Alcoa, and was active in Believers, and served for many years in Vacation Bible School. In addition to her church work, she assisted her husband in the family business, Warren Easter Auction, for over 40 years. Mrs. Easter was preceded in death by her parents, J. Frank and Ruth Snelson, husband, Warren J. Easter, and infant son Gary Easter. She is survived by sons and daughters in law, David and Barbara Easter, Frank, and Dewayne and Lee Ann, Grandchildren Christy Trotter and husband Tracy, Jason, Kelly and Aaron Easter; brother and sister in law Ted and Nancy Snelson, and sister, Charlotta Stewart, great grandchildren, Braden Dill, Christian Lambert, and Isaac Easter as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Kindred Care at Fairpark and Hospice for their kindness. Services will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Doug Sager officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Clarks Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
