Carl Ernest Moore

Carl E. Moore age 97 of Seymour went to be with the Lord Monday, December 12, 2016. He was a member of Oak View Baptist Church and Blount County Bee Keepers Association. He retired from ALCOA and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Carl was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Navy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved gardening, working with his bees, sitting on the porch of his log cabin looking at the creek and surrounding mountains. He will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by: Wife, Ada Hood Moore; Parents, James & Arpha Moore; Grandson, Charlie Davis; Brothers, Muriel, Doyle, and Paul Ross. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Dwight & Jimetta Moore; Daughters, Charlene Moore and Pat Rosen; Grandchildren, Tony Dossett, Michael Dossett, Kendall Boles, Greg Moore, and Charity Decker; Great-Grandchildren, Raelei, Porter, Jacob, Phoebe, Matthew, Samuel and Ava Jane; Great-Great-Granddaughter, Iris; Sister, Grace Speck. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Glenn Gamble officiating.
