Carl C. Waggoner, Jr.

July 19, 1942 — July 30, 2013

Carl C. Waggoner Jr., age 71, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Park Ridge Medical Center of Chattanooga. Carl was retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratories and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Waggoner loved The Lord and was a dedicated member of Apostles Anglican Church. He was involved in numerous prayer groups such as the Fellowship of ALIBE with T.M. Moore, and had a special place in his heart for those less fortunate and homeless as a mentor with the Circles of Support with Compassion Coalition. Carl was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend who will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Jeanette Waggoner Sr., and his son, Michael James Waggoner. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Patricia Ann Waggoner; Sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Lynette Waggoner of Ringgold, GA, and David Waggoner of Knoxville; Grandchildren, Joshua Waggoner, Hannah Waggoner, and Sara-Anne Waggoner, all of Ringgold; Sister and Brothers-in-law, Carlotta and Ben Franklin, and Bob Shamblin of Maryville; A celebration of Carl's life will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Apostles Anglican Church, 1540 Robinson Rd Knoxville, TN 37923 with Deacon David Sincerbox and The Reverend Laird Bryson officiating. The burial will follow with Military Honors at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 12:00 at the church prior to the service.
