Burle E. Shannon

Burle E. Shannon “Gene” passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in Maryville, TN. He was an avid lover of automobiles and his wife. Gene was a competitive grocery shopper and lowest gas price seeker. He would be the first person to show up when your car broke down, no matter the time of day. Preceded in death by: father and mother, Theodore and Volena Shannon (Hembree); brothers, Walter Shannon, Dale Shannon, George Shannon, and David Ray Shannon; son-in-law, Robert Draper II. Survivors include: Wife of 45 years, Ruth Shannon (Caudill); daughters, Debra K. Draper and Amanda (Glen) Morse all of Maryville, TN; sons, Stevie (Charlotte) Nolan and Vince (Mary) Shannon of Ohio; grandchildren, Tori (Josh) Bowers, Dustin Morse, Isabella Morse, Abigail Morse, Kaitlyn Morse, Clara Rose Morse, Bridget Nolan, Taylor Shannon, Dylan Nolan; great-grandchild, Colton Steadman. Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Pastor Mike Arp officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Grandview Cemetery.
