Bruce Olin Owenby

SMSgt. Bruce Olin Owenby age 79 of Maryville passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church for 47 years and a charter member of Oak View Baptist Church. Bruce was retired from the Tennessee Air National Guard and was a Mason. Preceded in death by: Parents, Hubert & Cora Owenby; Brothers, Stanley, Glen and Don Owenby; Sister, Wilma Bowers. Survivors include: Wife of 51 years, Dorothy Mae Owenby; Son & Daughter-in-law, Jeff & Jane Owenby; Daughter & Son-in-law, Laura & Glenn Turner; Grandchildren, Kristen & Rachel Turner; Sisters & Brother-in-law, Lorene & Lloyd Wilhite, Jewel & Harold Headrick, and Louise Dixon & husband Ronnie Crum; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, October 22, 2010 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Gene Leamon officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel for the entombment with Rev. Alan Atchley officiating.
