Brenda Diane Spence

Brenda Diane Spence, 79, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2023, at home surrounded by her children.  Brenda was a devout Christian and  a member of Carpenters United Methodist Church in Maryville.  She enjoyed reading, listening to country music and spending time with her family.  Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Steve Spence; parents Edward Byrl and Dorothy June Miller; brother Paul Edward Miller; sisters Betty June Teffeteller, Barbara Jean Kirkland, Freda Joan Orr and Ruth Edna Turner.  Survivors include daughters Donna Diane Miller of Maryville, Kymberly Ann (Greg) Hayes of Maryville, son Jason Steve (Emily) Spence of Oak Ridge; grandchildren Jeffery Scott Miller, Cameron Lee (Morgan) Miller, James Alfred Webb III, Kailey Ann Marie Russell, Diana Rose Spence, Caroline Ruth Spence; great grandchildren Mia Lavaughn Miller, Lucas Lee Miller, Clover Ann Mirande, Bradley Michael Miller; along with several sisters, brothers, stepchildren, nieces and nephews.  Family will receive friends from 2 until 3 pm, Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel (1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville) with Reverend Ken Tucker officiating.  Funeral service will follow at 3pm.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to East Tennessee Kidney Foundation, Inc (PO Box 22072, Knoxville, TN  37933) or online at www.etkidney.org in memory of Brenda.  Condolences and memories may be shared through Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, 865-983-1000, www.SmithFuneralandcremation.com
