Brenda Joy Bonner Hamilton of Walland, born October 14, 1944 at Pelham (Grundy County), Tennessee, passed away March 21, 2022 at home, due to a hemorrhagic stroke suffered on February 7. She was a medical technologist, earning a bachelor's degree in medical technology and graduating with the class of 1966 at Belmont College in Nashville. She was an active member of the Child and Family Services program, "Kids On The Block," for many years, serving as a puppeteer and later as co-director. She was a 50-year, active member of the Odd Couples Sunday school class at Fairview United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Vernon and Louella Davidson Bonner, brother Carl Edwin Bonner, and sister Martha Ann Bonner. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Gordon Hamilton, daughter Laura Hamilton O'Neal (Mike), both of Walland, son Timothy Scott Hamilton (Maria-Cristina) of Huntington, W.Va., sister Verna Berlene Penick of Manchester, brother Richard Dale Bonner (Faye) of Pelham, and granddaughters Diana Maria Neacsu of Chicago and Rebecca Bonner Hamilton of Huntington. Family and friends will assemble for graveside services and interment at West Miller's Cove Cemetery in Walland on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11:00AM, services conducted by Pastor Mickey Rainwater of Fairview United Methodist Church.
