Boyce Ray Sloan

Sloan, Boyce Ray "Zeke" age 83 of Maryville passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy on the Destroyer USS Monson. He also retired from ALCOA with 42 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Bartley & Sallie Burris Sloan; Brothers, Fred & Bob Sloan; Sister, Fay Littleton. Survivors include: Wife of 65 years, Tina Mae Thompson Sloan; Son and Daughter-in-law, Jerry & Paulette Sloan of Maryville; Daughter, Carolyn White of Maryville; Grandchildren, Eric White & wife Christina, Jennifer Bradley & husband Michael, Lisa White & husband Brad; 5 Great-Grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Funeral service 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 28, 2006, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
