Bobby Ray Gentry

After a long illness, Bobby Ray Gentry, age 69, of Rockford, TN passed away on May 9, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Henderson (Pib) Gentry, and mother, Ida Lerma Branum Gentry. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 46 years, Doris Jean Brewer Gentry, son, John Henderson Gentry, and wife, Shelley, of Friendsville, TN; daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Gentry Ratledge, and fiancé, Alan Keith Washburn, of Ooltewah, TN; three special grandchildren, Alisha Gentry, Tyler Gentry and Alex Ratledge; two brothers, Henry Henderson Gentry and wife, Lynn, of Friendsville , TN; Paul Walker Gentry and wife, Becky, of Maryville, TN; sister, Dora Linda Switzer, and husband, Owen, of Louisville, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bobby served in the Army and as a police officer for the University of Tennessee, as well as a K-Trans bus and Lift driver for the City of Knoxville, TN. He was a member of the Old Ballards Chapel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Old Ballards Chapel Baptist Church, 1905 E.
