Blanche Wear Stephens

Blanche Wear Stephens, age 93, of Maryville, passed away Friday, February 12, 2010, at Little Creek Sanitarium. She was born June 28, 1916 in Monroe County, TN. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mother loved to work in her yard and grow flowers, including mowing her lawn, until she was in her 80s. She enjoyed sewing and especially making fancy dresses for her daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hoyt Stephens; parents, Robert and Myrtle Wear; brothers, Oral and Eugene, and granddaughter, Rebecca. Survivors include her daughters, Linda S. Keery (Jerry), Judith S. Frost (the late Robert B. Frost); grandchildren Stephen Grant (Susan), Sarah Parrish (Edward), Robert Bibb Frost, Jr. (Erin), Elizabeth F. Milling (James); great-grandchildren Robert B. “Sonny�? Frost, III, Charles Braun Frost, Austin Thomas Parrish, Alexander Grant Parrish, James Sease “Tripp�? Milling, III and step-granddaughter, Jessica Selph; sister, Twila McCollum Ragle (the late Ivan “Bud�? Ragle). The family would like to thank the entire staff of Little Creek Sanitarium for the love, care and compassion they provided during her life and her death. Additional thanks to Avalon Hospice. Memorial Service 7:00 pm Monday, February 15, 2010, at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Dave Ward officiating. Private interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
