Billy Joe Phelps, age 70, of Sevierville, passed away Friday, April 25 2014 at Parkridge Medical Center, Chattanooga, TN. Billy Joe was retired from Delta Airlines and was preceded in death by his father, William Bill Phelps and first wife, Edna Jean Bailey Phelps; Survivors include his wife, Peggy Phelps; sons and daughters-in-law, Cory and Jennifer Phelps and Todd and Michelle Phelps, all of McDonough, GA; step-sons, Ricky and Dodd Watkins of High Falls, GA; step-daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Don Nesmith of Hampton, GA; numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren; Mother, Doris Phelps of Sevierville, Brothers and sister-in-law, William and Joyce Phelps of Cincinnati, OH, Dale Phelps of Sevierville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce Richardson of Nashville; Family and friends will assemble for Graveside services and interment at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2014 in the Union Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with his brother, Dale Phelps officiating.
