Billy Joe "Goat" Strickland

Billy Joe "Goat" Strickland age 74 of Maryville, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born and raised in Maryville, TN November 29, 1937 to the late Clarence & Della Mae Strickland. He worked and retired from Tennessee Department of Transportation after 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by son, Timothy Michael Strickland; brothers, Raymond & Jim Strickland; sisters, Sandra Bradburn and Faye Moore. Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Jo Strickland; son, Dennis Strickland; daughters Jane Morton, Tracy Strickland, Karrin Williamson and Buffy Wilson; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Strickland: sons-in-law, Donnie Morton, Steve Williamson and Larry Wilson; brothers, Kenneth, Bob, Doug and Mike Strickland. Grandchildren; Scott Moore, Cassandra Drake, Betty Morrow, Joseph and Brittany Conway, T.J. and Rebecca Wilson, Aaron, Emily, Alex and Elizabeth Morton, and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2012, at Smith Trinity Chapel, with a service following at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Ronald Morton officiating.
