Bill Austin Wilson

Bill A. Wilson, age 77, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Kindred Care Healthcare facility. Bill was a graduate of C.B.C. in Memphis, TN and Old Miss University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from Blount Farmers Co-op after many years of service. Bill was always an avid sportsman especially baseball, being a member of the Pepsi-Coca Cola Travelers semi-pro baseball league. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and bird-watching, spoiling his grandkids, as well as being an avid reader. Bill was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was the son of the late Elmer and Florence Wilson. Survived by his wife and best friend of 57 years, Martha Wilson; Son and Daughter-in-law, Kelly Sr. and Susan Wilson of Mt. Carmel, TN; Daughter and Son-in-law, Shay and Sam Grindstaff of Friendsville; Grandchildren, Kelly "Shane" Wilson Jr. and Ryley Grindstaff; Bill also leaves his special pet chocolate lab, Maggie. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Wednesday June 10, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Jim Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery.
