Betty White Smith went on to be with her Lord on January 19, 2024. She died at the age of 94 years old. She was born June 14, 1929, in Maryville, TN, to Arthur and Zola Scott White. She lived her life there until moving to GA in 2021 due to declining health.
She loved Jesus and her family and served faithfully at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church since she was a teenager. She also served alongside her husband Otie B. Smith for many decades in local and international positions with the Lions Club.
“Dino”, as she was known by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Otie Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Smith Harrison and her husband Don, her son, Phil Smith and his wife Judy, and her grandsons, Ryan Harrison and his wife Leslie, Brent Harrison and his wife Rebekah, Matthew Harrison and his wife Erin, and Blayne Smith.
Betty left a lasting legacy with her seven great grandchildren who dearly loved their “Dino” with a passion: Morgan Harrison, Wesley Harrison, Tyler Harrison, Hannah Harrison, Athena Smith, Avery Harrison, and Brooks Harrison.
She is survived by her Sisters-in-Law and Brothers-in-law and their spouses:
Fred and Gail Smith, Wes and Nancy Smith, Dorothy (Smith) Everett, Anne Smith,
Denise Smith, and many nieces and nephews
Family will receive friends from 10:30 – 12:00 PM on Friday, January 26, 2024. Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 26, 2024 with Pastor Brent Harrison and Pastor Ronnie Longmire officiating.
