Betty Kathryn (Robbins) Weaver went home to her Heavenly Father on February 6, 2020, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on November 27, 1932 to her parents, Carlyle and Mildred (Clemens) Robbins. Betty is the great-grand daughter of Maryville’s first Town Marshall, J. Henry Clemens. She graduated from Friendsville High School in 1950. Betty was a life-long member of Immanuel United Methodist Church. She bowled with the Monday Morning Coffee League in her younger years and worked for several years at Proffitt’s Department Store. Betty loved to travel and visited 49 states, Canada and several Caribbean islands. Betty is preceded in death by husband of 46 years, Hanover Weaver; parents; brother, Donald Robbins. She is survived by daughters, Robin Smith (Roy), Tammy Smith (Alan); son, Wesley Weaver (Nancy); grandchildren, Kathryn Len Sands-Hall (Craig), Ashely Davis (Dale), Amy Baker (Steve), Mary Kathryn Smith (Cade Stallings); great-grandchildren, Kendra Kennedy, Nick Sands (Kayla), Callie Baker, Landon Baker, and Kason Davis; sisters, Dianne Cooper (Harold) of Friendsville, Norma Jean Helton of Alabama; brothers Howard Robbins of California, Wayne Robbins of Friendsville; brother-in-law, Jim Weaver; several nieces and nephews; life-long friend, Bobby McClellan; special neighbor, Janet Simpson. Special thanks to caregiver, Kendra Kennedy, all the nurses on 5 East at Blount Memorial Hospital and the wonderful nursing staff of Blount Memorial Hospice. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 PM Monday, February 10, 2020 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rex Rogers officiating.
