Betty Fugate Taylor

Betty Ann Fugate Taylor, age 83 of Maryville, passed away suddenly December 13, 2011 at her home. She was a long time member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She worked at ALCOA for 14 years. She spent her time taking care of her farm with her beloved husband for the past 55 years, she very much enjoyed genealogy, playing the organ, and tending to her flower beds. She never met a stranger and always had a story to share with anyone, her words, smiles, and kind heartedness will be greatly missed by those who have known her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elisha F. Fugate and Jenny Edds Fugate; brothers Earl and Don and sister Wilma Akers and her husband Brandon Bucky Akers and Gordon McCall. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles B. Taylor, sons Jonathan D. Taylor and Steve Fugate Taylor and Michelle McPherson; her sisters Mary Fugate McCall, Jimmie and Max Mize, Bob and June Fugate, Lon and Marge Fugate, Jerry and Mary Hazel Fugate, Mike and Sheila Fugate.
