Betty Jo Davis Pearson age 80 of Knoxville, formerly of Jackson, MS and Maryville, TN, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS. She was a graduate of Millsaps College and a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Betty retired from State of Mississippi Old Capital Museum. Preceded in death by: Parents, Curtis & Leona Davis. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, Don & Karen Pearson of Knoxville and Brooks & Reecy Pearson of Maryville; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Kathy & Frank Yamamoto of Honolulu, HI, Annette Jennings of Ft. Worth, TX, and Melissa & Jeff Long of Maryville; Grandchildren, Kylie & MacKenzie Pearson of Knoxville and Marley & Jake Long of Maryville; 1st Cousin, Elizabeth Dodds; Friends of Treymour Village in Knoxville. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Monday, September 14, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Tony Brown officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Grandview Mausoleum for the entombment. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: Millsaps College, 1701 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39210-0001, Pecks Memorial United Methodist Church, 2438 Wilkinson Pike, Maryville, TN 37803 or to a charity of your choice.
