Bernice Everett Brackett, 98, of Maryville joined her Savior, family and friends in Heaven on Saturday, February 23, 2019. She was born on October 18, 1920 at the family farm in Walland, TN. She retired from ALCOA after 36 years of service where she was one of the first female overhead crane operators. After retiring she was a volunteer “Pink Lady” at Blount Memorial Hospital until she was 90 years old. She also traveled extensively with her friends. She was a lifelong member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Quade Brackett; parents, Zenia and Walker Everett; special grandmother, Granny Belle; brother, Bill Joe Everett; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bea and Curtis Cunningham, Mary Sue and Ralph Robinson. Survivors include her nephews, Steve (Kathy) Robinson, Bruce Robinson; nieces, Darlene Swartout, Nancy (Chuck) Owens; cousin, Jody Couch; several extended family members.
