Benny Rosalez, Jr.

Benny Rosalez Jr. age 80 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the local VFW. He loved hunting, fishing, football, and most of all spending time with family. He was a member of the United States Navy, Army, Air Force and retired as a Master Sgt. from the Air National Guard. Benny retired in 1992 as Director of Medical Records, with a Master's Degree in Public Health. Preceded in death by: Father and Mother, Benny Sotero Rosalez and Viola Hildred Rosalez; Sisters, Mildred Gonzalez and Margaret Hearn. Survivors include: Wife of 54 years, Sonja Marie Rosalez; Children, Hildred & Kenny Lewis, Michael Robert Rosalez, Benny Harry Rosalez, and Monika & Tony Murrell; Grandchildren, Aaron Lee Idalski, Alisha Hildred Lewis, Joshua Michael & Kristen Rosalez, Alexander Agana Rosalez, Zachery Michael Rosalez, Elizabeth Christina Rosalez, Sean Ryan Rosalez, Casey Leann & Jeff Jones, Carey Lee & Larry Cooley, Christina Marie Murrell, and Cydney Nicole Murrell; Great-Grandchildren, Kadin Idalski, Joshlen Rosalez, Noah, Elle, Emma Jones, Jolee Extine, Emma & Parker Cooley; Brothers & Sisters, Richard Rosalez, Ernest Rosalez, Ida Granado, and Elaine Hendrick. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Kevin Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
