Benny T. Middleton Jr.

Benny (Ben) T. Middleton, Jr. age 83 of Maryville passed away on Friday July 26, 2019 at Ben Atchley Veterans Home. Ben was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church and Retired from the United States Air Force. He also worked 25 years for the U.S. Postal Service where he was Post Master of Greenback. Ben was a member of New Providence Masonic Lodge, No. 128 F&AM and was an avid Maryville rebel football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents Benny Middleton, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Middleton. Survivors include, wife of 62 years Mary Middleton, daughter Sharon Cogburn, son and daughter-in-law Curtis and Karen Middleton, grandchildren Katie Black, Hannah Hayes, Becca Calhoun, great grandchild Callaway Hayes, sister Lora Weed, sister-in-law Faye Campbell, brother-in-law Charles Moore, favorite crossword buddy Marge Cardin. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service interment at 9:00 am on Tuesday July 30, 2019 at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. There will be a call at your convenience on Monday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at Smith Funeral and Cremation Service.
