Ben Douglas Blair

Ben Douglas Blair age 74 of Maryville went to be with Jesus on Saturday September 2, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Alcoa as a machinist specialist after 34 years of service. Ben has been a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 35 years. Preceeded in death by his first wife Linda Lou Blair, parents Ervil and Rosie Blair, brother Lemuel Blair. Survivors include, wife Lois Blair, Son and daughter –in-law Doug and Monica Blair, daughters and sons-in-law Tammy and Mark Moser and Becky and Bobby Fielden, step son and daughter-in-law Greg and Angie Williamson, step daughter and son-in-law Joy and Chris Land, 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren brother Glenn Blair, sisters Evelyn Blackwood and Lela Hair. A special thanks to BMH 5 East and CCU staff for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday September 5, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Parker and Rev. Greg Williamson officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11:00 am on Wednesday September 6, 2017 at Grandview Cemetery.
