Beatrice J. Lundberg

Our Mom, Beatrice (Bea) Jacobsen Schmidt Lundberg, 92, passed away May 4 at the Colonial Hills Nursing Center in Maryville, TN. Mom was born to immigrant Norwegian parents in Brooklyn, NY. They were a large family of 10 with one now surviving son and brother, John Jacobsen of Georgia. Charles R. Schmidt and Mom were married in 1941 and had 3 daughters, Janalyn (James) Jump, Lauris (Larry) Smith and Alaine (James Marley) McBee. The family moved to Chattanooga in 1954. Our Dad died in 1979 and in 1985 Mom married Burdette Lundberg. They enjoyed 10 years of compassion, travel and working in the church. Mom had a bright smile, an adventurous spirit and loved the people around her. She retired from the Chattanooga City School System and was an active founding member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She is survived by grandchildren: Donna Brady, Karen Sears, Charles (Chad) Trimby, Daniel Trimby, Katherine McBee, Shannon Smith Rominger and Jason Smith. Great Grandchildren: Jennifer Schmitz, April, Amber and Alexa Brady, Bailey Trimby, Makayla and Damon Davis, Oliver Rominger and Kaiden Smith. Also, great great grandson, Dylan Brady. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2 PM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Chattanooga with the burial following.
