Barbara Jean Kirkland

Barbara Kirkland, age 74 of Maryville passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a beautiful, independent, strong, caring mother and grandmother who always put her loved ones before herself. Preceded in death by: parents, Dorothy June Williams Miller and Burl Miller; Sister, Freda Joan Miller Orr. Survivors include: Children, Greg & Linda Kirkland, Jeff Kirkland and Shannon Carnes, and Tresea Kirkland Whitt; Grandchildren, Trey McClanahan, Brianne McClanahan (Travis Lindsey), Tyler Kirkland, Bryce Carnes, Brandon, Riley, and Reed Heaton; Great-Grandchild, her pride and joy, Emorie Lindsey, who kept her going through her battle with cancer; Siblings, Paul Edward Miller, Dorothy Faye Curcton, Edna Ruth Turner, Robert Lee Miller, Betty June Teffeteller, Peggy Jane Ervin, Brenda Dianne Spence, Sandra Patricia Teffeteller, Linda Kay Young, Judy Carol Hill, and Burl William Miller. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Larry Young officiating.
