Barbara McGill Hitch age 65 of Rockford, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Central Point Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Parents, David & Wilma McGill; Brothers, Andy and David McGill. Survivors include: Husband, Mack Hitch; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Patty & Steve Creswell of Maryville and Tina & George Norton of Maryville; Step- Daughter, Angie Hitch of Oregon; Step-Son, Mike Hitch of Alcoa; Step-Son & Daughter-in-law, Jeff & Tracy Hitch of Seymour; Grandchildren, Chad Welch & Fianc� Majenta Burns, Chassidy Evans & husband Ben, Kailyn, Olyvia, & Brandy Norton, Jessica, Austin and Alyssa Hitch; Great-Grandson, Elijah Evans and Expected Great-Granddaughter, Rozalynn Evans; Brothers, Ernest McGill of Knoxville and Harvey McGill & wife Sue of Rockford; Sisters, Alice Cowan & husband Hugh of Maryville, Bessie Brown & husband Bob of Maryville, Evelyn Nichols & husband Bobby of Alcoa, Helen Phelps & husband Gene of Maryville, and Diane Ownby of Knoxville; Sister-in-law, Annie McGill of Rockford; several nieces and nephews, and all of the members of her loving church family. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Chris Cupp and Rev. Carlos Ownby officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Clark's Grove Cemetery.
