BARBARA L. DOWNEY, 82 passed away February 20, 2012 at Asbury Place, Maryville, TN. Barbara was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church, Maryville, TN, for several years. Proceeded in death by husband Joe J. Downey, brother L.A. Freels, parents Leonard Albert and Helen Freels. Survived by sons Michael J. Downey and Jeffrey F. Downey as well as sister Jimmy and brother-in-law Gerald Harrison. Also survived by nephews, Jerry and Mark Harrison, nieces Leeann and husband Michael Pfeiffer, Janet and husband James Campbell. Survived by numerous great nieces, nephews and several friends. A Celebration of Barbara's Life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Ted Witchen officiating. Family and friends will assemble on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Grandview Cemetery for the Interment service.
