Barbara Ann Blaylock

January 18, 1946 — May 31, 2023

Maryville, TN

Barbara “Ann” Shearin Blaylock passed away surrounded by family on May 31st, 2023. She followed soon after the passing of her cherished husband of 55 years, David “Dave” Blaylock. She was preceded in death by her father William (Bill) Shearin and mother, Myrtle (Myrt) Shearin, who Ann had the sweetest mother-daughter bond with. Ann’s life accomplishments were so vast, but she will be remembered most for her kind and giving heart, which was shown through her career as a nurse and the best Mamaw Ann to her grand and great grandchildren too. Her love for her “babies” was magical to witness. Ann is survived by her sons, David “Eric” Blaylock (Julie), and Jason Blaylock (Mary). She is also, survived by her loving sister, Janice Wallace and brother, Roy Shearin, who were a big part of her care and support as she transitioned from this earth, along with daughter in law Dawn Blaylock, granddaughters, Kayla Blaylock Marotta and Abby Blaylock. She also leaves behind brother, Larry Shearin of Georgia, grandson Blake Blaylock and granddaughter Natasha Carver, all of Maryville. She held a truly special place in her heart for her bonus great grandson Scott Carter. She also greatly loved the newer additions of great grandchildren, Roman, Wyatt and Amelia Marotta. Her spunk, love and kindness will carry on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. There will be a Celebration of Life on July 8th, 2023, from 1-4 pm at the Life Event Center at Smith’s Funeral home. Please join us in celebrating her truly remarkable life.
