Barbara Maria "Barb" Ballew

Barbara Maria "Barb" Ballew, age 45, of Maryville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Barb was a caring and devoted wife and mother who loved her family, friends, and community. She was a very active member with Seymour Heights Christian Church and truly enjoyed her work with her students as a teacher at Sevierville Primary School. An avid reader who loved the outdoors walking and biking, she will be truly missed by those she leaves behind. She is survived by her husband, Richard K. Ballew; her children, Evan M. Maffei and Amanda M. Mancuso, all of Maryville; Parents, Frank Maffei and Barbara J. Murry; Brothers, Dan Maffei of Wappingers Falls, NY, Bob Maffei of Mt. Vernon, NY, and Frank Maffei of Yonkers, NY; Many other nieces, nephews and other family members. A Celebration of Barb's Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Seymour Heights Christian Church with Dr. Harold Keck officiating.
