Austin W. Morgan

Austin W. Morgan, age 84 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the family home. Austin was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church. He served 6 years in the Tennessee National Guard and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. He retired from Kroger’s after 47 years as a butcher. He loved to go fishing and watching Nascar. Austin was a wonderful, dedicated, and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He was a generous man that was always there to help friends and family. He was the best father and papaw the good Lord could have given us. Preceded in death by his wife, Judy Morgan; son, Rodney Morgan; parents, Verlin and Christine Morgan; brothers, Edward Morgan and Jackie Morgan. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Janina Morgan; granddaughter, Ashley and husband Jon Melson; great grandchildren, Kylee Melson, Aiden Melson, Draven Skaggs, and Ava Skaggs; sister, Lillian Gregory. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at East Maryville Baptist Church Cemetery for the graveside service and interment.
