Austin Rex Jones, Sr.

Austin Rex Jones Sr. age 68 of Maryville; went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2009 at his home. He was a member of Maryville Church of Christ. He worked in the dry cleaning business for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish & hunt. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather & friend. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Todd Jones; mother, Iris Jean Gooch Jones. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Evelyn Jones; son & daughter-in-law, Austin Rex Jr. & Christy Jones of Rockford; daughter & son-in-law, Vickie & Ray Boruff of Alcoa; grandchildren, Matt Burwell, Nick Boruff and Jessica Jones; great-grandchildren, Natalie Burwell, Emily Burwell & Christian Boruff; father, Robert C. Jones Sr. of Maryville; brothers & sisters-in-law, Don & Esther Jones of Maryville, Robert Jr. & Judy Jones of Rockford; many special nieces & nephews. Funeral service 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 18, 2009, Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Herbie Byrd officiating. Interment 1:00 pm August 19, 2009 at Grandview Cemetery.
