Aubrey Gene Upton

Aubrey Gene Upton age 83 of Maryville passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Asbury Place Health Care Center. He was born on June 11, 1928 in DeKalb County, AL the youngest of eight children. After spending 4 years in the Air Force, he moved to Chattanooga, TN where he worked as terminal manager for Bee Line Express trucking company for 43 years. After retiring, he moved to Maryville to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by: Parents, Emma & Raymond Upton; Brothers, Ernest & Raymond; Sisters, Belle, Estelle, Burma, Edna and Adele. Survivors include: Wife of 60 years, Sarah Wright Upton; Daughter & Son-in-law, Kerry & Leon Trundle; Grandchildren, Heather and Andrew Trundle; several nieces and nephews. The family of Gene Upton wish to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Asbury Place Assisted Living and Health Care Center for the loving care provided during his time there. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Amy Probst officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
