Atlas Hyder Patterson

Atlas Hyder Patterson age 93 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at his home. He was born October 26, 1920 in Blount Co., TN. Hyder served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from Miller's Dept. Store (Allied Stores) as Purchasing Agent after almost 35 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Maryville, TN. Survivors include: Wife of 32 years, Wilma Hall Patterson; Son, Patrick Hyder Patterson (Michael Gorman); Daughters, Carole Knight (Michael) and Jane Hobbs (Robert J.); Stepson, Dan Hudgins (Linda Klag); Four Grandchildren; Thaddeus Knight (Lauren Reed), John Knight, Kate Hobbs (Anna Paskausky), and Jenna Hobbs; several brothers and sisters also survive. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, June 13, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00 PM with Reverends Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating.
