Archie Douglas Clark, age 84 of Maryville, TN went to his heavenly home early Wednesday morning, December 11, 2024. Archie served his country in the Army and the Tennessee Air National Guard, was a barber, and retired after selling cars at West Chevrolet. Having been a lifelong Blount Countian, Archie served his community while visiting countless shut-ins, hospitals, and nursing homes as a lay pastor, he was also a member of the Jaycees, the Empty Pantry of Blount County, the Masonic Lodge, the Blount County Sheriff’s Dept. Senior Citizens Outreach Program, He was also the first President of the East TN Corvette Club. Archie loved God and was a true servant to all. Archie was proceeded in death by his wife Jane (Broyles) Clark. Also, by his parents Robert and Pauline Clark, his brothers Clyde Clark and Curtis Clark, Sisters Joyce Clark Crowder and Nellie Clark. Archie leaves behind his son, Tony and wife, Beth Clark, grandchildren Ross (Mackenzie), and Rachel Clark, and several children they claimed as their own! Sister Helen Buchanan, many nieces, nephews, and countless special friends that were so much like family. We want to especially thank Dr. Mark Green and Nurse Becca Daniels, and all the wonderful staff at Ben Atchley Home for Veterans. The family invites you to celebrate Archie’s life at Smith’s Trinity Chapel on Tuesday, Dec. 17th at 2:00 PM with a private graveside for the family at Grandview Cemetery. You may pay your respects at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service from Friday, December 13th, 2024 through Sunday, December 15th, 2024 from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
