Anna Mae Chittum Anderson

Anna Mae Chittum Anderson age 88 of Maryville, passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 at Mercy Residential Hospice. She was a longtime member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. Anna was a devoted Christian woman who was adored by all her family and friends and was an avid reader. She was retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after 22 years of service. Preceded in death by: Parents, John & Christine Chittum; Husband, Howard R. Anderson; Infant Daughter, Shirley Anderson; Brothers, John Chittum, Elijah Chittum, Cedric Chittum, Horace Chittum, and Harvey Chittum; Mother-in-law & Father-in-law, James & Martha Anderson. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, Howard Jr. & Ursula Anderson and John P. & Fonda Anderson; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Martha D. & Eddie Fawbush and Doris & F.D. Gibson; 10 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her home care workers at Preferred Care and all her physicians, the Mercy Residential Hospice Staff who made her last days as comfortable as possible. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Monday, March 22, 2010 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Patrick Polis officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Woodlawn Cemetery for the interment.
